She’s been in the best of hands her entire riding career that knows how to put the stuff on one AND make it stick! Coming from a tremendous reined cowhorse program, Annabelle has the mechanics and athleticism to go any direction. Are you looking for your next Ranch Riding prospect? Tired of driving all over looking at horses that have been tip toed around or never been asked for anything? Don’t you worry, Anna has had the pressure poured all over her. She steps to the plate eager and happy to learn every day. While at the trainers, she was often ridden by a very novice showman. Annabelle helped her learn how to ask one for lead departures, spins, stop, and how to box a cow. She will twirl like a top, has automatic leads, and can STOP…naturally! Both hocks hit the ground, her front end breaks loose, and does it with no tension on the reins. Since she’s been with us, we have used her in our feedyard a little and we’ve started pen roping calves on her. She will track one around effortlessly, doesn’t cover up cattle, and reads cattle a mile away. She’s been started on the smarty and we could see her having a big future as a head horse. She’s a fancy gal!

Not only does she have the ability, she’s got size! Annabelle was bred, raised, and proudly packs the Zieman Ranch brand. Ted Zieman has raised several futurity and derby winners, but he has also maintained what the ‘cowboys’ need, through his breeding program. One with size, bone, foot, cow sense, athleticism, pedigree, and work ethic! Annabelle’s pedigree wasn’t developed over night, but with decades of knowledgeable breeding intentions. Annabelle’s sire COWANS POCO COWBOY goes back to the legendary PAT COWAN who has been a staple in multiple disciplines across the entire Quarter Horse industry. Her dam, SMOKIN HOT CHIC 104, is a money earner and was the 2016 HPRBA Reserve Open Futurity Champion herself. She has produced several money earners and continues to be a top producer for the Zieman Ranch.

Annabelle would also make an extremely nice broodmare if you’re in the breeding industry. With her pedigree, size, and confirmation, you could cross this mare on a Jack donkey and still get a pretty mule! She is the ultimate outcross on any sire.

Annabelle stands a full 15 hands tall and weighs 1200 lbs. She’s big hipped, keen headed, straight legged, and has a gigantic mane and tail.
