Contention Ranch is a family-owned operation focused on commercial hay production and enhancing recreational opportunities, such as big game and upland bird hunting, fishing, river rafting, and hiking. The ranch does not manage its own cattle but leases land to grazing operators year-round, with an emphasis on balancing grazing and recreational activities. Farming is conducted on 240 irrigated acres using advanced pivot irrigation systems and modern equipment. The Ranch Manager will oversee daily ranch activities, including farming, irrigation, landscaping, equipment operation, fence repair, and weed control. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for the outdoors, high integrity, adaptability, and a focus on safety and teamwork, with a long-term commitment to the ranch’s success. No drugs or heavy drinking are allowed.
