Luis B. Ortega Signed Books – From the Joe Nab Collection – $2,100



Matched signed and inscribed first editions of California Hackamore (1948) and California Stock Horse (1950) by Luis B. Ortega, legendary Vaquero braider and author. Both are inscribed to Harold Dakan, a well-known California horseman.



This set comes from the Joe Nab Estate and includes a letter of provenance from Rick Nab, as well as a copy of Georgina Rodriguez’s published article on Joe Nab’s memorial service highlighting the connections between Nab, Ortega, and Dakan.



Price $2,100 for the set, article copy, and provenance letter. Shipping $20 insured in the U.S.; international at cost.
