Description:
Have you been searching high and low for the PERFECT pony for the child in your life? You just found him! Absolutely cute as a button, “Punkin” will instantly be his new kid’s best friend! At Yoder Equine, the three year old daughter has gained so much confidence by spending time with him and riding him all over. Before “Punkin” she was a little timid and nervous around ponies. After a few days of knowing him she would beg to go outside to be with her pony. She has a permanent smile on her face when she is around “Punkin”.

“Punkin’s” specialty is entertaining the kids. He is frequently a member of tea parties in the play house, building castles in the sand box, or even sitting in the house! Yes, sitting in the house! He is trained to sit and lie down on command and will do so even for the little girls. During playtime, if the girls need to go into the house without him, they will close his rein or lead line in the storm door and he will patiently wait for them whether its for five minutes or two hours.

Being the babysitter he is, “Punkin” carefully carries the Yoder children around in his cart or on his back, in a saddle or bareback. You can often see all three children on him at once! He will adjust to the level of his rider. He’ll lope when asked or he’ll ease around with a beginner. He’ll change gaits or speeds with subtle leg or rein cues. If he is riding with big horses around the farm, he does not care or get upset if he is left by them or if he’s asked to walk away from them.

“Punkin’s” little legs have traveled miles of trails being very attentive to his rider. He is able to keep up with big horses, but doesn’t mind being left by them either. His main priority is to please, take care of, and make his little rider happy.

What to expect every single time “Punkin” is around: lots of smiles, giggles, and happiness from adults and children, alike.

Punkin is available exclusively at the Fall Round Up Horse Sale; September 25-27, 2025 in Heber City, UT. Price will be determined by highest bid. There are multiple previews and horses are available for test rides at the sale. In-person, online, and phone bidding available.
