Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with the daily operations of alfalfa production. The Alfalfa Farm Assistant will support planting, irrigation, harvesting, and maintenance activities to ensure healthy crop growth and efficient farm operations.

Key Responsibilities



Assist with soil preparation, seed planting, and fertilization of alfalfa fields



Operate and maintain farm equipment including tractors, balers, and irrigation systems



Monitor crop health and report signs of pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies



Support harvesting operations including cutting, baling, stacking, and transporting hay



Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and machinery



Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment



Record daily activities and assist with inventory tracking of supplies and equipment





Qualifications



Prior experience in farming or agricultural work preferred



Ability to operate heavy machinery and perform manual labor in outdoor conditions



Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions



Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance



Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required



Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends during peak seasons



Compensation



Competitive hourly wage based on experience



Housing options may be available
