Description:
Buttercup is a 2016 sorrel grade mare ranch horse. Purchased from a family friend. We are second owners and have owned her for 5 years. She’s gentle, sound, and tough enough to go all day She comes in from pasture to a whistle or feed bucket, tries to get away when caught but is always catchable, easy to bridle, saddle, pick up and trim feet, loads and unloads good in a trailer. Stands tied quietly. Will winnie for a buddy sometimes in a pasture setting, but will ride out by herself just fine. Great for dragging calves, ok for pasture roping. Neck reigns, stops ok. Turns on hind end, doesn’t truly spin. She’s not the fastest or cuttiest horse around but can get any job done. Will outpull our biggest horses on the end of a rope. Will ride in a curb bit or halter. Hobble broke. Middle of the pecking order. Never been lame. Not selling her as a kid horse, but my kids (age 4 and 8) ride her.
