Description:
If you need one that is guaranteed to be old man gentle and broke to do every job on the ranch, then take a look at Redrock. He is currently being ridden and used by a 74 year old man, and he is about as honest and broke as they come. Redrock is a good looking 11 year old blood bay gelding, 15.2hh and nicely built with a very kind eye. He has been used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including dragging calves, doctoring cattle out in the pasture, and sorting pairs. Redrock has been ridden the right way and is one hand broke with an excellent handle, a light mouth, and a very smooth trot you could sit to all day long. You will never see him throw his head, gap his mouth or pop his tail. He’s been there, done that and not spooked or bothered by anything, and is very friendly. You can saddle him up on a cold morning and hop on knowing you will not get bucked off. Redrock is good on both leads, will sidepass, spin around and work a gate. He is an excellent trail horse as well and will fit just about anyone who can sit up and hold the reins. He will cross water with no problems, go through tall brush, and is very sure footed. Redrock has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, good for the shoer, stands quietly tied, and loads and hauls well. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, will happily lead or follow, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $11,500.
