Attention to detail and a positive attitude are the most important attributes we look for in candidates. Duties primarily include maintenance and repairs of our equipment from ATVs, pickups, trucks, tractors, implements to heavy diesel equipment. You also will be assisting with typical ranch work such as feeding, fencing, calving, haying and operating heavy equipment. We build our own buildings and do our own fabrication so we do carpentry, concrete and welding as well. Millwright/mechanic experience would be a plus. This position requires being a flexible self-starter and being able to think on your feet. Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision as well as able to work in a group. The right candidate will have a good attitude and do quality work in a timely manner, will help keep the job running smoothly which includes keeping the jobsite and equipment clean and organized. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to help the right candidate grow into the job. We all have to learn something new every day to be successful. A positive, enjoyable collaborative work environment and being a good example to our children is very important to us. This is a remote location; the nearest school is 32 miles away and the nearest WalMart is 70 miles away. Compensation will depend on what value you can add to the operation. Housing, utilities, and beef will be provided. 50% match on health share after one month and 100% reimbursement after 6 months for your whole family. Work would be available for your spouse as well if interested. We typically work 8 to 6 Monday through Friday with a one hour lunch break (housing is minutes away so you can eat lunch with your family.) We try to be flexible for vacation and days off. No pets inside ranch housing and this is a tobacco-free ranch, absolutely no exceptions to either. We do not use horses and do not have facilities for them.
