Description:
Flying T Ranch in Sprague River, Oregon is still looking for the right fit for our family ranch.

A little about us:

We are about 35 miles from Klamath Falls. We are blessed to live in a beautiful area with a variety of scenery, mountains and valleys, trees and water, mixed in with some high desert. We are a purebred cow/calf operation that runs around 500 cows along with yearlings and bulls. We do most of our cattle work with four wheelers. We also have a side business of selling beef.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

*Cattle work (calving, moving, branding, health checks, etc.)

*shop jobs (welding, cleaning, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs)

*Irrigating (all flood irrigation)

*Stock trailering cows to and from summer pastures and to the slaughterhouse.

*Making hay (cutting, raking, baling, and hauling hay off fields (round bales), repairing broken haying equipment)

*light to medium mechanical repairs on pickups, tractors, 4 wheelers, haying equipment.

*General ranch maintenance

Perks:

*Nice housing available and included in salary.

*You can bring your horses (up to 3).

*Well behaved pets are welcome, dog proof yard surrounds the house.

*Ranch vehicle available for ranch duties.

*Salary is negotiable and depends on skill/experience

*Willing to consider several options that we can discuss after we find a good long term fit.

*35 miles to Klamath Falls for shopping.

*Recreational oppportunities in the area include hiking, fishing, hunting (big game and waterfowl).

Expectations:

*fluent in English

*Some mechanical skills are a must.

*Self starter, self motivated and directed.

*An understanding of ranch life and the seasonal nature of ranching (we are super busy during haying and calving season).

*Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

*We are looking for someone hard working, honest, reliable, willing to work with others and alone and with a good attitude that has pride in their work.

*A perfect fit for us would be a motivated person who has a passion for the ranching lifestyle and someone who can perform basic and medium repairs on ranch equipment. Calving and cattle experience would be ideal as well but not as necessary.
