Description:
We’re looking for a hardworking, dependable ranch hand to join our cattle operation on a working guest ranch in the rugged country of Arizona. This is not a manager position. It is hands-on, physical ranch work in all weather conditions, primarily on the cattle side, with occasional involvement in guest activities if needed. Applicants must be comfortable starting and training young ranch horses as we start colts each year.



• Riding horseback for gathering, sorting, and checking cattle as well as taking care of animals at head quarters.

• Starting and training colts and seasoning ranch horses

• Fencing, water maintenance, and other ranch repairs

• Operating ranch equipment and basic maintenance

• Helping with seasonal branding, shipping, and other cattle work

• Occasionally assisting with guest ranch activities and trail rides

• General upkeep of ranch grounds

What we offer:

• Year-round employment/salary

• Housing included — small 1-bedroom/1-bathroom mobile home

Requirements:

• Strong work ethic and ability to handle long days in rough country

• Solid horseback skills, including colt starting and training

• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Friendly and professional demeanor for occasional guest interaction
