Description:
I am seeking a well-rounded Individual (or Couple) to assist with the day-to-day operations of the ranch. The ranch consists of 750 cows (plus replacements and backgrounded calves) and 400 acres of farmland. It is located in the sandhills of central Nebraska near Burwell.





Personal qualities I am looking for:



Self-starter. Able to work effectively and efficiently without direct full-time supervision



Neat, organized and takes pride in the quality of the work product



Honest, responsible and attentive to details



Good communication skills, both in person and on the phone







Day-to-day duties will include:



Cattle work including feeding (operation bale processor, feed wagon and loader tractor)



Helping monitor herd health and processing cattle. Need to have basic cattle handling experience



Fence maintenance and new fence construction



Land management to include weed control, mowing, etc.





Summer irrigation (gravity irrigation with pipe) and pivot maintenance/operation



Light farm work running a disk or grain drill

Operating all types of haying equipment (mowers, rakes, bale retriever)



Light mechanic work including oil changing and filters, greasing and lubricating machinery and basic repairs as needed



Help with building maintenance and upkeep.



Compensation



Approximately $3,500-$4,500/month based on experience. Position also includes a 3-bed room, 1 bath home. Utilities furnished. Run 2 ranch USING horses. Exception’s may be made for a wife or kid.



School is close bye and bus services are furnished.
