Travel is available leaving Sept 25th from North Dakota headed south to Texas and can meet along Hwy 83 corridor. Travel is also available to the Virginia or Alabama region in October. Born 5-9-25. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we have chosen movie themes for our different stallions. Top Gun Whiskey foals will be named after the Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie. Next year we will do similar call signs from the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit themed names. This filly is named Merry after Meriadoc Brandybucks a Hobbit and fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth legendarium, featured throughout his most famous work, The Lord of the Rings. Merry is described as one of the closest friends of Frodo Baggins. Merry is a bay filly with no white. Her dam, Dry Biscuit Mujer JW aka ‘Biscuit’ was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses as a weanling. She is multiple generations of Granter’s breeding program. On her damside, Kingsburys Buck was often referred to as Larry Grantier’s best mare at that time. Maternal grandsire is Mujer Tacky Jay who sired too many ranch, family, 4-H, performance horses to count in his breeding career. The Zans Banjoe lines are also cornerstone in their program. Last but not least is her sire Dry Pages who as a 1995 stallion has also sired more than his share of excellent using horses. We are very proud to have this Dry Pages daughter in our program. You can read more about Biscuit on her page. Her first foal was with Whoop Up Whiskey in 2014, Whoop Up Cowboy JW who is a bay roan ranching in the Sandhills of Nebraska. Her 2017, 2018 and 2019 foals are full siblings to Llano. 2017 Paddys Gin Sarabi JWv is in Virginia and from the pictures & videos we have seen she is very nice and tall and well started under saddle; 2018 Paddys Gin Kenya JW went to WY; and 2019 foal, Paddys Gin Su JW, went to AZ with a family member. Her 2020 foal, Paddys Gin Llano JW, we kept back for ourselves and had her first foal in 2024. We swapped stallions and her 2021 & 2022 foals were by Jacks Our Bartender. She had a buckskin roan stallion, Dry Ash Bartender JW. He suffered an injury and had to be put down. Her 2022 foal, Octopus Bartender JW, is a palomino roan colt that went to Virginia. She was open for 2023 foal so we swapped her back to Tex for a 2024 foal and she had a beautiful bay roan filly, Paddys Gin Venus JW, that is with a repeat buyer. Her sire is TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex. This is Tex’s 17th foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop, they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. His daughters, when bred to current barrel stallions are producing 1D and 2D barrel horses with other owners. Merry should be a nice all-around prospect. We have loved all her full siblings. She will be able to excel in the arena or on the ranch as well. Her mama carries GBED and Tex carries HERDA so we will wait on a result for her. Foal is eligible for the Iowa Quarter Horse Association Ranch Horse Futurity. 2025 PRICING INCLUDES: Halter/lead rope, negative coggins, health, brand inspection, initial and booster vaccinations of EWT-Flu-Rhino, 1 bag of his current feed, AQHA transfer fee paid and halter training.
