Description:
Reynolds Cattle Company X Ranch, a 100-year-old family-run operation located at the historic Rita Blanca Division Headquarters of the XIT Ranch, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Ranch Cook. This is a unique opportunity to join a longstanding ranching tradition and be part of a tight-knit team. The Ranch Cook will be responsible for preparing hearty, nutritious meals for ranch staff and guests and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Additionally, we are seeking a spouse or partner who is willing and able to assist with general ranch work and cowboy duties.

Key Responsibilities:



Meal Preparation:



Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the ranch staff (5 1/2 days a week).



Create a variety of meals, including casseroles, beef dishes, homemade bread, desserts, and traditional ranch fare.



Maintain a well-stocked kitchen and plan meals based on available ingredients and seasonal offerings.



Kitchen & Living Space Maintenance:



Ensure that the cookhouse and living quarters are kept clean, sanitary, and organized at all times.



Manage kitchen supplies, food storage, and inventory to avoid waste and maintain stock levels.



Spouse/Partner Support (Optional):



A spouse or partner willing to assist with general ranch and cowboy duties is encouraged to apply. Tasks may include but are not limited to helping with animal care, fence maintenance, or other ranch-related responsibilities.



Qualifications:



Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a ranch, farm, or similar setting.



Strong knowledge of preparing hearty, balanced meals, with an emphasis on beef dishes and baked goods.



Ability to adapt recipes and meal plans to the needs and preferences of the ranch staff.



Must be comfortable living and working in a remote, rural environment.



Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and living space.



Additional Information:



Accommodation: The cookhouse includes living quarters that can accommodate an individual or a couple (if the spouse is willing to assist with ranch work).



Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, plus room and board provided.
