Once again we find ourselves WITHOUT any interns heading into this fall to assist with halter breaking our 2025 foals. We started last March with hiring 5 interns for May-Aug and May-Dec and for various reasons they are no longer here. Our daughter is expecting baby #3 in November and will only be able to assist for a little longer and will stay on maternity leave until spring 2026. Without assistance to halter break we will be discounting prices to get our foals moved on to new homes. We are super proud of our 2025 foals and very proud of many of our stallions. This pricing will have them vaccinated, boostered, dewormed, handled 2 times (maybe more), weaned and eating well for 2 weeks before travel. Our standard 10% discount for multiple or repeat buyers will still stand. You may find these foals in their own albums on Facebook and our website. Our most recent pictures are already on our website, Facebook and RWAs. We will provide additional videos of the stallion groups as a whole upon request. Jacks Our Bartender has been declining, and we will soon be preg checking his mares that pastured with him this summer. Could be that these 2025s are his last offspring. His bloodline will remain in our program through his daughters and a 2024 stallion prospect we have retained. Travel is available leaving Sept 25th from North Dakota headed south to Texas and can meet along Hwy 83. Travel is also available to Dillon MT in October. Check out this stout colt, should mature to a bigger horse! Born 5-15-25. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we have chosen movie themes for our different stallions. Top Gun Whiskey foals will be named after the Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie. Next year we will do similar call signs from the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit themed names. This colt is named Fangorn (fong-gorn). Fangorn refers to a significant location in J.R.R. Tolkien’s "The Lord of the Rings," specifically the Forest of Fangorn, which is home to the ancient tree-like beings known as Ents. The name "Fangorn" is derived from the Sindarin word for "Treebeard," reflecting the character’s identity as the oldest Ent. ‘Fangorn’ is a bay roan stallion with a star and rear white pasterns on both legs. His mama, Whiskey Up Aspen JW, is another mare we raised from some of our original Grantier Quarter Horse Mujer Tacky Jay bloodlines. Aspen’s dam, Lily Dancer Drift JW aka DD previously sold, was a big stout palomino mare. She was by the original Mujer Tacky Jay daughter, Mujer Lily Dancer JW aka Lily who consistently produced us BIG and STOUT foals. Lily was 84% NFQHA and was purchased from Grantier Quarter Horses as a weanling. Mujer Tacky Jay, now deceased, made a name for himself producing using horses for the family, ranch, arena and youth. There are a lot of great horses in Lily’s pedigree from Jet Deck and Leo Tag just off her papers to other greats Three Bars, Poco Bueno and old time horses like Old Sorrel. Lily also fantastically went back to King 9 times! We really believe in these well established horse families and in Lily’s mare line as she was so closely bred to many of our great saddle horses. DD was by Walter O Rielly aka Radar. Radar has made some really nice big horses over the last several years we have owned him. We have kept several of his daughters back to cross with some of our more moderate sized stallions. DD was one of those crosses. We bred her with Whoop Up Whiskey and got Whiskey Up Aspen JW. This young mare has a long history in our program and we are very excited she is a part of the new generation to continue on some of the older bloodlines. Her first foal 2024 Triton Bartender JW was buckskin roan stallion that sold to SD. Fangorn’s sire is Jacks Our Bartender. Jacks Our Bartender is a son of Bartenders Memory by Two ID Bartender and out of a granddaughter of Two Eyed Jack, Watch Miss Jo Jackie, born in 2003. Unfortunately, due to a stifle injury from being kicked by a mare, Jack was not able to stay sound enough to enter the show ring but was able to prove his athletic ability. Since then several of his colts have ended up in the roping arena and continue to prove their athleticism and great minds. By 2015 Hockenson’s realized that he was producing some really great roping horses and decided to see if they could keep his stifle sound enough to show and sure enough in a very short time, he quickly earned 5.5 AQHA Heading Points of his own proving that his offspring accomplishments were not by chance. He is a great horse to be around and out produces himself every time. Jack has 3 AQHA performing offspring. Many of his other foals have gone on to be great rodeo horses or rope horses competing and earning money in different associations. We bought Jack with one idea to be to put him on our Paddys Irish Whiskey daughters and granddaughters. He has the moves that they do but in a bigger horse package. Angorn should size up on the larger side and have the ability to be a rope or ranch horse prospect. Foal is eligible for the Iowa Quarter Horse Association Ranch Horse Futurity. 2025 PRICING INCLUDES: Halter/lead rope, negative coggins, health, brand inspection, initial and booster vaccinations of EWT-Flu-Rhino, 1 bag of his current feed, AQHA transfer fee paid and halter training. This is a $300+ value included in the price. Repeat and multiple horse buyers will be less.
