Our Daughter is taking a maternity leave and we are in need of Temporary Help. • We need a minimal commitment from August 15th to December 12th 2025 • An Ideal commitment from August 15th 2025 to May 1st 2026. (always can explore staying on longer as our needs/wants shift) This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ranch operations while contributing to the care and management of our operation. Ideally we are looking for a young unmarried individual under the age of 25. We will provide housing to you if you are under the age of 25. The house will be shared with our college interns. We have also have an internship program on our ranch and we are used to working with young people with minimal ranch experience. We are open to all options with that being said Our perfect candidate is a young woman or man that is taking a gap year from college or is a recent graduate who needs a stepping stone job opportunity to gain more experience to find a true full time job or return home to their own family’s operation. See more details below Woroniecki Ranch owns and operates a commercial cow/calf operation, as well as a herd of registered horned Herefords. Most calving takes place out on the rangeland, not in the barn. Woroniecki Ranch Quarter Horses breeds, raises, and markets American Quarter Horses. We expect 30+ foals to be born each spring. We live cover all our mares by our stallions on the rangeland during the summer. Warren and Jodie also own and operate Prairie Nutrition Center, Inc. PNC, Inc. is a livestock ration balancing, nutrition consulting and mineral/feed company. The intern will learn some of this business as well but will not be active in this daily. Warren is a beef animal nutritionist and will teach all he knows about animal nutrition and how proper nutrition is vital to the success of any ranch operation. As an intern/Temporary employee with Woroniecki Ranch you will have an excellent opportunity to receive hands-on training in ranch management. This internship/temporary employee experience allows you to explore the cattle and horse industries and learn how all sides of our business operates. You will learn many vital skills during this experience that will put you ahead for further success in your future endeavors. Compensation Will depend on experience Work Hours Minimum of 50-60 hours per week. 5-6 days per week. Additional time off and set work schedule can be negotiated. Posted 07-15-25 Location The employee housing will be provided in the town of Hebron. No PETS. Woroniecki Ranch is located 11 miles northeast of Hebron, North Dakota. The road to the ranch is all gravel(unpaved). Hebron’s population is about 800 people and has basic businesses such as a grocery store, convenience store, mechanic, and several restaurants. The nearest Walmart is 35 miles away in Dickinson. The town of Bismarck is 60 miles away with a population of 80,000 and an airport. Requirements Applicant must be highly motivated and willing to work. Must have an open mind with a teamwork attitude and realize all tasks you are given are equally important to the operation. Ranch jobs are a lot of work you must have a strong work ethic. Average cattle husbandry knowledge and be able to utilize low impact cattle handling. Horse Experience is required. Most cattle work is done from horseback. You must be willing and interested to ride horse. You must be interested and willing to help halter break foals. • Employee must have their own vehicle to drive to work, capable of all weather and road conditions. • Employee must have valid driver’s license. • Employee must have proof of health insurance. • Employee must have a Pre-employment Physical Exam current in the last 6 months. • Employee must be tobacco free. • Employee must have personal liability and renter’s insurance for our provided housing by the start date of job. Job Responsibilities • The ability to stretch, bend, lift 50 lbs, and work all day in all weather conditions. • Daily chores feeding hay, water, and grain to both cattle and horses. • Assist with cattle working, doctoring cattle, weaning calves in the fall. • Assist with synchronizing cows for artificial insemination. • Handle stallions, mares, foals, etc. • Vaccinating and deworming horses. • Help haul and move mares to and from the ranch yard and pastures. • Halter breaking and weaning foals will be a primary job task August-December • Rotating cattle through pastures on horseback. • Checking pasture water tanks and making sure mineral feeders are filled. • Assist with fence building and repair, corral repair, manure cleaning, barn/stall cleaning. • Operation maintenance such as grass mowing, weed control, painting, etc. • Helping put up hay may be an occasional task. • Winter activities to continue horse chores and feeding with tractors. **Duties/Activities/Experiences may change from year to year and season to season** For more information and to receive an application please contact us below.
