My goal is to be completely transparent here: I’ve had a couple people reach out before looking for an "expert, professional rancher with years of ranching experience". I want to be clear, that’s not me. I’m green. Not green as they come. But green. So what can I bring to the table if I’m relatively new to ranching? Well, I’m not inexperienced with life. At 34 years old, I’ve done a little bit of everything. I worked on a farm in Appalachia Ohio through my early twenties where there were both crops and cattle... Since then I’ve held positions in Agricultural Sales, Equipment Mechanics, ect. I even found myself out west, briefly working a sales territory that extended up through Northern Wyoming. And it’s the "briefly" part that I’d like to change. The fact is, I’ve developed an affinity for western life (not a delusional romanticism). I know the difference. And I’ve been wanting to find someone that will give me the chance at 34 years old to prove my salt. Ranch work is the type of work I’ve wanted to do for a long, long, time. So, hire me. Hire me because even though I’m inexperienced with this line of work to a degree, I’m not inexperienced with life. Hire me because I’m mature and will show up on time. Hire me because I’m not stupid. (Degree in Business Management if that means anything). Hire me because my Christianity makes me loyal. Hire me because I’m willing to relocate a couple thousand miles for the right offer. Hire me because I’m a grown man who’s willing to learn.... And can offer quality performance in return. Is that reason enough? I hope so. I’m open to positions in Wyoming, Montana, Utah, South Dakota, ect.... Although, special consideration will be given to the territory stretching from Rapid City, SD (through Wyoming) to Bozeman, MT. I’m familiar with that area and have contacts there. Lastly I’ll mention I do have a family (wife, kids) that will be joining me out west at some point as well.
