Description:
Mouse is a 6-year-old Quarter Pony mare with a standout black sabino coat, chrome markings, and a strong, compact build. She carries Hollywood Dun It bloodlines on her sire’s side and offers both eye appeal and versatility.



Raised from a weanling, Mouse received a solid foundation with extensive groundwork and quality handling. At 3 years old, she completed 30 days of professional training with Cody Marx (Marx Horse Training – Wisner, NE). Since then, she’s been ridden on trails, in feedlot settings, around cattle, and through varied terrain. She has walked over logs, through brush, and crossed rivers with no hesitation.



She walk/trot/lopes, is developing softness in the face, and carries herself with a naturally low headset. She has also been ridden bareback and double. While not yet finished, she is a kind, trainable partner with excellent ground manners.



Temperament:

• Very laid-back and people-oriented

• Docile and respectful around children (has been handled extensively by a youth rider under supervision)

• Confident in a herd setting — maintains alpha position without aggression

• Easy to catch, stands well for the farrier, lunges with ease, and tacks up without issue



Health & Maintenance:

Mouse requires regular management due to heaves (seasonal), equine metabolic syndrome (EMS), and a past founder episode. Her current care routine includes:

• Dry lot turnout with netted brome hay

• Low-sugar/starch diet

• Routine farrier maintenance



Her condition is stable and well-managed with the proper routine.

Mouse would thrive in a home that offers a quiet lifestyle with continued training and consistent care. She is best suited for a confident youth or small adult rider with some experience, looking for a project horse with a strong foundation, a kind disposition, and excellent potential.
