Email (optional): beehilltxwagyu@gmail.com About the job We’re a small, family-run Wagyu/Angus operation 2 miles from Lake Nocona and 5 miles from the Red River. Looking for a neat, tidy, proactive hand who takes pride in doing things right the first time and keeps a place buttoned up. What you’ll do (core) Cattle work: pen/rope/sort, run the headgate, ear-tag, vaccinate/doctor, wean, haul to the sale barn; steer bull calves (we haul to vet). Pastures & fences: mow/shred, spot-spray weeds (don’t spread them), fix/brace/ stretch wire, gates & water. Iron & equipment: operate tractor (box blade, forks), grease, change oil, keep it running. Ranch upkeep: mow/weed-eat yard/barn pads, keep work areas swept and safe. Feed & runs: keep cubes topped off; light supply runs in ranch truck. See it/fix it: flag issues early and knock out small repairs (welding/ carpentry a bonus). What we provide: RV site: 30/50A electric, water, sewer + Starlink internet (no charge). Horse-friendly: free board in open barn (stalls, corral, working pens, round pen, tack room). Ranch truck for work use. Workers’ comp coverage (details during onboarding). Access to a concierge MD in Denton (in-person/telehealth). Small, respectful, family-friendly outfit with long-term work for the right hand. You are: Experienced with cattle (low-stress handling; can doctor common issues). Horse-forward: comfortable working off your own horse; natural horsemanship approach. Mechanical enough: tractors/basic service; can run a torch/ welder is a plus. Clean & organized: you keep tack rooms, pens, and pads squared away. Self-starter: you see the next job without being told. Sober & reliable: no drugs; no heavy drinking. Dog welcome if well-mannered, livestock-safe, vaccinated, and fits with our dogs (trial). Schedule: Part-time preferred (target ~25hrs/wk), with early mornings and some weekends as cattle/weather require. Occasional longer days for works/hauls (paid flat).
