Description:
This is a used pair of handmade single mounted spurs made by well-known bit, spur and saddle maker Bruce Cheaney from Gainesville, Texas. Bruce is listed in Bit & Spur Motifs, Techniques, and Modern Makers book by Ned and Jody Martin. The spurs are marked Cheaney and numbered 1010 inside the heel bands. The spurs originally had a name on the bands that was removed and remounted with a steer head and two flowers by bit and spur maker David Hunt from Panhandle, Texas. They are mounted with eight pieces of nickel silver and four pieces of copper.
