Description:
Experienced full time ranch manager needed for a small 150 head cow/calf operation ranch in the Hamilton MT area. Looking for someone experienced with cow/calf operations, haying, and grazing practices, to join our family ranch. Specifically should have experience with calving, vaccinating, moving cattle by ATV or on horseback, and cattle sales. Work also includes building and maintaining fencing, haying, and general property management. Should be familiar with running and maintaining tractors, swathers, rakes, balers, irrigation pumps, and other ranch equipment. Owners are looking for someone who will come with innovative ideas to transition toward a multifunctional agricultural business. Candidate will need to have familiarity with environmentally sound, conservation-oriented land and livestock management practices. The ideal candidate is reliable, a self-starter, self-motivated and takes pride in their work. Must learn quickly, be used to working by themselves and completing work in a timely fashion. Housing is provided. Tobacco, alcohol and drug free work place. Would prefer someone who is looking for a long term situation. Please send resume and references by email. Salary DOE.
