Wilson is a seven year old grade quarter horse gelding, sound, sane, and everyone’s absolutely favorite! He stands 15.3 and is the biggest pet dog you’ve ever met! He is gentle and safe for any rider of any age, and also handy enough to go to work in the toughest situations to boot! I have owned this good gelding for two years and in that time he has racked up experience on countless jobs. I use buffalo to train cutting horses and wilson has been used as a turn back horse with them countless times. Some horses have a hard time being calm around the buffalo at first, but Wilson took it in stride from the beginning. We start a lot of colts here at home as well and Wilson has been THE main mount for ponying horses when halter breaking and for putting on the first few rides. His walk, trot, and canter are the smoothest you will find in a stock horse anywhere, and it is because of this I have picked him time and time again for those long trail rides or work at the race track where I have to cover miles of ground in a day. His amazing disposition is demonstrated from how easy he is to be around! Wilson loves people, kids, dogs, and even mother in laws! It doesn’t matter if he’s rode every day, or once every three months, Wilson is the same friendly, old soul of a gelding that you can trust! He is so gentle that I have to share him with my kids to use at Junior Rodeo, competing in barrels, flags, and breakaway roping! He is also incredibly easy to catch anywhere, no need for a rope or a bucket of grain with this guy! If he was loose in a 100 acre pasture all you would need to do is walk up to the gate and he will meet you there! I could go on and on about this great gelding but I’ll stop here for now!
