Peppermint is just about perfect in every way. She is gorgeous, very nicely built, extremely good minded, safe and sane, and broke the right way. Peppermint is the type of young horse everyone is looking for, and she is gentle for almost anyone who can sit up and hold the reins. She is just 3 years old but is an old soul, born gentle, sweet and loving people. Peppermint is 15.1 hh and very stout, with straight, clean legs, hard black feet, a big hip and a pretty head with a kind eye. She is a head turner wherever she goes, not only for her looks but for her quiet and willing nature. Peppermint has excellent ground manners and enjoys attention, and will walk right up to you and stick her head in the halter when you want to catch her. She has an excellent foundation and is ready for someone to finish her out in whichever way they choose. She is quiet enough to make an excellent trail horse, cowy enough to make a good ranch horse, and athletic enough to make one heck of a nice performance horse. She would excel at ranch versatility or western dressage shows, with her beautiful movement and ability. Peppermint has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and is the same horse every time you ride her. She does not need to be ridden every day to stay gentle. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Peppermint has an excellent stop and the start of a nice, correct turnaround. She will move off your leg, work a gate, and will neck rein or direct rein. She is good on both leads, has beautiful flying lead changes, and doesn’t mind carrying a flag. Peppermint has been started tracking steers in the arena and has been lightly roped off of, and she has some cow sense. She will go up, over or through anything you point her at. Peppermint has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, is good for the shoer, loads and hauls well, and can be turned out with mares or geldings without issues. She is not mare-ish at all, and has never shown any type of mare attitude. She will ride out alone as well as with a group, will happily lead or follow, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Peppermint will sell as grade but we have copies of both her dam and sire’s papers. We can provide a contact number for her breeder should the new buyer want to try to get papers on her.
