Trigger



Trigger is a palomino with tons of go and a big motor. If you need a horse that will go all day, every day, this is your guy. He’s a beautiful, eye-catching gelding that will make any confident rider feel like a top hand in the saddle.

The ranch has used Trigger for all types of work: doctoring, gathering, pairing out, roping, and checking fence. He handles every job well, whether it’s side-passing into a gate or holding a calf to be doctored. He’s very responsive and light in the bridle. We use a O ring snaffle as he is a lighter and more responsive horse. Because of this, he needs a rider who understands the difference between a heavy hand and a light rein.

Trigger is not for everyone. He doesn’t buck, bite, or hang back, and he’s not dangerous but he is forward, alert, and full of energy. He won’t get someone hurt, but he’s not going to tolerate a rider who’s constantly in his mouth. With the right, experienced rider, Trigger is a solid horse that a experienced hand can get a lot of use out of and has plenty of go to keep up all day.
