Description:
Handmade used Carl Elmer saddle is the BEST of the BEST. Carl made all his own trees and made them for mainly Quarter Horses, and they fit very well. The smooth padded 16” seat is narrow and extremely comfortable.

Saddle has been custom made for trail, show, roping or ranch use. Carl Elmer is from John Day, Oregon and apprenticed in 1942 for the George Lawrance Saddlery in Portland. He worked there for many years learning the intricate and detailed saddle making technique. After leaving George Lawrance he opened his own saddle shop in John Day, Oregon and started making all his own saddles with his name on them. Elmer saddles are completely handmade from the 4” tree (or inner structure), to the entire stamp work on the exterior which is all the signature of this famous saddle maker.

This is a great ranch saddle you can rope off. The high quality of the leather, maker, and construction will not disappoint anyone. Stirrups have been pretwisted with heavy duty Blevins buckles, 4” metal stirrups, finished padded 16” seat, front and back cinches, and heavy-duty roping breast collar and includes 6 long leather latigo strings (or ties). Saddle has been professionally cleaned and oiled, and weighs approximately 40 lbs. (Please note: the sheepskin fleece has some deterioration under the saddle.)

Selling used for $2875.00 and can ship to buyer for an additional $200.
