If you’re looking for a horse that will be sure to get you noticed, Lady Glitter Sparkles is the one! Half Andalusian and half Appaloosa; she carries her self with a strong presence and a kind demeanor. “Lady” as we refer to her, has the smoothest gliding lope you’ve ever experienced, and beautiful effortless lead changes. Lady has been a fun one for me to get the hang of changing leads and really focusing on my horsemanship, as she makes it so easy. She is always my first pick for any ranch job, whether it’s gathering remnant cattle in rough country, doctoring cattle or just a nice trail ride! She is happy with just the company of her rider and never gets herd bound. She is always sure footed and knows where her feet are. She crosses water with ease and tarps and flags are no problem. Lady is always the first one to meet you in the morning and always happy to see you. She has a big stop off of your seat and makes it seem effortless. Her elevated conformation, and movement make her a true candidate for someone wanting to pursue dressage (or western dressage). She has jumped some smaller jumps and has a lot of scope and always has her ears forward. Only time her ears are back is when she’s chasing cows, and she shows a lot of cow sense! She will pick you up off of a log or mounting block with ease and has been ridden by our inexperienced friends from school that come out to the ranch, she’s always a favorite. Our dad told us girls we either have to marry someone to shoe our horses or learn how to do it ourselves… so I learned how to do it last summer. Lady was so patient with my learning and always would hand her foot to me when I reached for it. A true Lady! Lady adjusts quickly to whoever is on her back, whether it is a green rider or Me! Flashy, gentle, handy and a kid’s horse is a rare combination that doesn’t come around very often. I guarantee that whoever takes Lady Glitter Sparkles home will love her as much as I have.
