Description:
Flick is an extremely fun 2021 red roan filly. She is 14 hands and 1000lbs with a 00 foot. She’s been handy from the very beginning of her training. She was started as a two year old and took to everything wonderfully! She even took time off well from the get-go. I had full intentions of showing her in futurities for her three-year-old year but a wire cut around show time put a kibosh on that. Because of that training, she’s dang handy to have around and rides so nicely off of your body and is a very correct, fluid, easy moving and an all-around joy to ride. Even with my intentions of showing her, I kept her rides short and I work hard not to stress young bodies. Making sure our horses are going to have longevity for the long term is one of our top goals. So she’s going to be solid and handy for a long time. In the fall of 2024, we began roping off of her more consistently and holy smokes, is she promising and fun! This filly is going to go anywhere you take her and do well at it all. She’s versatile and fun. She watches a cow exactly how she is bred to, which is awesome. Sort cattle out of the rodear or in the alley and you’ve got the horse under you to do it. She does have scars on her hind legs from being wire cut. She has always been sound, but it needs said. She is mid to bottom in the herd and suitable for intermediate and up riders. I’ve trusted her to pack my young nephew in the saddle with me and known she would take care of us, but she’s a bit young to call a kids horse yet. Definitely on the track to be a kids performance horse someday. This young filly is going to be one of those that I’m going to have a hard time letting go of because she’s so well rounded and good at it all and at such a great age to only get better and better.
