Now Hiring: Seasonal Ranch/Stable Manager & Trail Guide

Location: Montrose/Ouray/Telluride

Season: May – October (Potential to Extend)



We’re seeking a capable, hardworking Ranch/Stable Manager to join our team near Telluride for the 2025 season. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who’s self-motivated, dependable, and experienced — with the added responsibility of guiding guests on horseback trail rides through the stunning Colorado high country.



Responsibilities Include:



Managing daily horse care, feeding, saddling, and barn operations



Leading and guiding guests on scenic horseback trail rides



Maintaining ranch infrastructure: fences, water systems, tools, and equipment



Overseeing safety, care, and wellbeing of horses and guests



Working independently and communicating clearly with staff and visitors



Representing the ranch with professionalism and hospitality



Qualifications:



Strong horsemanship and trail guiding experience



Excellent with people — friendly, patient, and clear communicator



Skilled with general ranch work, tools, and equipment



Highly trustworthy, self-directed, and hard-working



Management or leadership experience a plus



Details:



Seasonal position: May through October



Housing available for the right candidate



Potential to evolve into a long-term position
