Dexter is the one that is going to turn heads because of his personality! He’s the kind you can go run one down in the pasture and then throw the kids on to cool out. He is gentle every day! He absolutely loves attention! Dexter meets you at the gate looking for scratches and is ready to know what the plan is for the day. He is honest as they come down the trails! We have ridden him across the creeks, downfall, over all the trail obstacles and he doesn’t miss a beat. He will ride anywhere in a group or out alone. We have ridden him right by the highway, around wildlife, dogs and he doesn’t mind any of it. In the arena he lopes around on a loose rein going the speed you ask, is soft in the bridle with a true one hand neck rein. Dexter side passes, open and closes gates, picks up both leads and is easily guided. Dexter has been used extensively on the ranch roping cattle in the pasture, sorting in the alley he won’t let one by, gathering on him makes your job easy and he’s drug thousands of calves to the fire. He has done everything imaginable and I don’t think there is anything you will show him he hasn’t seen when it comes to the western way of life. I can’t express how safe Dexter is. He saddles up gentle every time. Our 4 year old trail rides him with us, leads him around and grooms him. If your looking for that all around kind of gelding look no further he does not just check the boxes he is the new checklist!! Dexter is a true gentleman no matter what! At 10 years old he has had the experience making him really broke, big stop, a ton of feel to him and to top it off GENTLE! He stands the perfect height at 14.3h FMI call (406)897-4717
