Flood Irrigate 6000 Acres

Increase productivity of hay ground

Introduce hay diversity using a no till drill

Research which hay species would best thrive in this area

Oversee the hay harvest

Help with equipment maintenance

Experience preferred but not required

College degree in agronomy preferred but not required

Pasture & dryland seeding as well as hay meadows (interseeding-no till, disc, seeding)

Off season will be shop work & repairs



Wanted: A self-motivated individual to lead crop production operations of a large livestock ranch. This position will be responsible for maintaining and improving 6000 acres of flood irrigated hay land and 40,000 acres of grazing lands. This person will also oversee the hay harvest and sales and will run heavy equipment, perform shop work, and assist with equipment maintenance. Experience with haying is a plus. Experience in sales is a plus. A college degree in agronomy or a related degree is preferred. This is a full-time, year-round position with housing, benefits, a salary consistent with experience, a retirement plan and 401K. The ranch is beautiful in the Southern Blues at 5000 feet, between Burn & John Day Oregon.
