Looking for a ranch mechanic to join the Silvies Valley Ranch in Seneca, Oregon



Ranch mechanic will be responsible for the shop, and economical maintenance and repair of ranch vehicles, generators, heavy equipment, and haying equipment.

Position Requirements:

• Experience maintaining equipment and record keeping

• Experience with most aspects of vehicle repair (Ford, Freightliner, John Deere, Cat)

• Have own tools (stipend included to maintain and purchase replacements)

• Most work is inside of large shop, but some outside repairs with a service truck.

• Understanding what ranch work is like. We are also 35 miles to town for parts and groceries

• Experience with generator maintenance and repair (Caterpillar, Onan and Honda)

Position Responsibilities:

• Participate in day to day activities with the ranch and keeping ranch vehicles up and running

• Working efficiently to get work done in a safe and timely manor

• No drama

• Making sure that shop is clean, orderly and safe at all times

• Inspecting ranch vehicles and equipment for safety, maintenance and repair.
