"John J" is as handy and talented of a horse as we have ever owned. If you think it... he does it! His legs are truly your legs. Not only does he boast some of the most well known names in the industry on his papers, he truly reflects it! His ability makes him a first choice for any job and his gentleness makes him a first choice for the kids to ride when we need them to come help us and REALLY be a good help! He has had thousands of calves branded on him and he knows exactly where to be, even if he has a greener rider on him. He is cowy, cowy, cowy! There isn’t a cow that can get by him in the gate, hold on to your night latch! With that, he is always fun for the kids to use, because he is always gentle, willing and will mellow out for them to have fun on yet still remain soft and light. A golden combo. Our kids have gained a lot of confidence showing him in town and using him in the branding trap. Gabe has taken him to town and says he is as quick as a cat and puts you right where you need to be. He has a solid start in the breakaway as well as the heel end. Whether you want him to be a handy ranch horse, a fancy trail horse, weekend show horse or a true competitor in the arena, he is ready to go! Reata has ridden him the whole time she has been pregnant and trusts him to take good care of her. He will be a hard one for us to replace. We will back him up 100%.
