Just a few words that describe our “Dillon”. “Dillon” is a tried-and-true ranch gelding and has spent several years calling the mountains of Idaho and Montana his home. This 15.2 hand, eight-year-old gelding is in the prime of his life. He has packed everything from wild game up and down the trail, to our children around our home place. “Dillon” is gentle and trustworthy, a first-class gentleman. On early brisk dark mornings, he will meet you at the gate, ready for a hard day’s work, and will saddle the same every time. His days have been spent in rough country, gathering, trailing, and doctoring cattle. “Dillon” has sorted thousands of calves and followed that up with head and heel brandings. This gelding knows how to do it all, and he does it with confidence and kindness. When neighbors need their buffalo roped and dehorned, we take “Dillon”. A family friendly ranch gelding, that could be easily hauled to town for sorting and ranch versatility classes. These are the geldings that novice riders should learn on.
