We need an all rounder willing and able to do all aspects required by a working cattle ranch. Thank you!** We’re a family-run cattle operation looking for a dedicated all-around hand to step into a ranch foreman role. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in doing meaningful work across all aspects of a working cattle ranch. Our operation spans three ranches near Silt and New Castle, Colorado, with BLM and Forest Service permits for summer grazing and irrigated pastures for hay production. We maintain base cow herds on each place. We wean and background all our calves with a ranch-grown silage and hay ration. Who We’re Looking For: A self-motivated, reliable working foreman who can lead by example and isn’t afraid to jump into any task. You’ll need to be part cowboy, part mechanic, part irrigator—and all-in on ranch life. Key qualities and skills: -Solid experience on a cow/calf operation -Comfortable working cattle horseback and riding long days -Knowledge of irrigation systems and hay production -Competent with equipment operation and maintenance -Can take initiative, work independently, and be a strong team player -Willing to learn, adaptable, and always looking to improve. - Keeps a positive attitude and sense of humor What We Offer: - Competitive salary, based on experience - Housing provided - Ranch vehicle - Space for personal horses and dogs (within reason) - A mountain lifestyle with fresh air and big views If you’re ready to get to work with good cattle and good people we’d like to talk.
