17" Billy Cook - Wade saddle

This saddle features a 17" hard seat, 4" cantle with rawhide trim, round skirt, 7" gullet, FQH bars, rawhide wrapped wood tree, 6 leather ties, all brass hardware, large bell stirrups, new front cinch, new latigo, fleece is good, and weight is around 42lbs.

If you’re looking for a high-quality ranch saddle that will take the abuse of ranch work and still look great at the end of the day, this Billy Cook Arbuckle Wade would be a perfect match.

Designed by Billy Cook on a Wade rawhide covered full quarter horse tree for strength and durability. A tough flat plate 7/8 rigging with rear dee provides the strength you need on the ranch without the bulk of on-tree rigging.

A hard, slick seat makes for easy mounts/dismounts and keeps you much cooler than a padded seat would.

The strong 4" horn is perched above the 9" swell, allowing you to rope and pull whatever you see fit and giving you enough room to move without interference from the pommel.

NOTE - The original stirrup leathers were cut short so I replaced with new ones that go much longer than the original makers. So if you have long legs and can never find a saddle that has long enough leathers here is your next rig!
