Description:
Goliath is a giant of a horse, but even with his size he is gentle and sweet. He is one the entire family can safely enjoy, both on trails or in the arena. At 18.1hh and over 1900 pounds, Goliath turns heads everywhere we take him. He has been ridden by both of my sons, age 6 (lead line) and 9 (on his own in the arena and on trails), as well as by beginner riders who have come to the ranch. He will stand quietly next to a mounting block to mount and dismount. Goliath is an excellent trail horse and will also drive single or double perfectly. His favorite speed is slow and he does not get into a hurry, preferring to walk. He steers very well, and has a light mouth and a good stop and back. Goliath rides down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it, and would be an excellent horse to ride in parades. He has no problems riding out by himself or with a group. Goliath is easy to catch, lowers his head to be bridled, and will load and haul fine in a standard 7 foot tall trailer without an issue.
