Jalapeno is a stunning palomino gelding who is super thick made, only 14.2H, and the perfect age at 7 years old. He has naturally great hair just living outside in the pasture, he doesn’t live in the show barn or the fitting barn. He has a huge tail, a forelock that you have to band to keep out of his eyes -and a thick, long flowing, mane that touches his shoulder. Jalapeno has mostly been used around the ranch and he has had a little bit of training in the roping pen - but Jalapeno would absolutely love to be somebody’s friend and pet trail horse. He is super confident outside - been tons of miles, he will cross creeks, ditches, and logs without hesitation - and he is just as comfortable out alone as he is with other horses. He has an easy comfy little jog and lope, catches both leads easily, and he travels out on a nice long loose rein. He has about as much stop and rate as you could put in a horse - he constantly hunts his stops, and loves to bury his butt in the ground. Jalapeno is easy to catch - extremely friendly outside, he usually comes up to you and if you go out to catch other horses then he wants you to catch him too. If he sees the trailer hooked up he is over there as close as he can get to it, wanting to go with you. He is an easy keeper, just lives outside on a normal/light ration. He is great to saddle and bridle, good for the farrier, and great for a bath. He hops right on the trailer without hesitation, stands quietly being hauled, and he also stands quietly tied to the trailer. Jalapeno just wears front shoes and his feet were just reset last week - he was barefoot for quite a while, he has really great feet, and could easily go barefoot again. His teeth were just done by our equine dentist last month, he had a routine look over and adjustment by the chiropractor, he also had his sheath cleaned, his ears preemptively treated for ticks, and he was also dewormed at that time. He will arrive to his new owner up to date on everything, and ready to go. He is in great shape and in good health.
