Description:
Guest Manager

Little Jennie Ranch | Bondurant, Wyoming

At Little Jennie Ranch, we take pride in our Western traditions, exceptional guest experiences, and commitment to stewardship. Our Guest Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that our outfitting and hospitality services run smoothly, providing unforgettable experiences for our guests while maintaining the high standards of horsemanship, safety, and integrity that define our ranch. This is a full-time, year-round position with a growing guest business alongside our working cattle ranch.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Hire, train, review, and organize a team of highly capable guides. Maintain a balance of experienced guides and opportunities for young team members to learn and grow. Foster a strong work culture through leadership and mentorship.

Organization & Planning: Coordinate and manage booking schedules between the booking specialist and crew. Utilize Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office to organize business operations. Develop weekly work plans and quarterly directional plans for the season.

Hands-On Managing: This is a "working manager" role, balancing leadership and organization with active participation in day-to-day operations. Being on the ground with the team ensures strong leadership and a positive work culture.

Guest Experience & Sales: Host and engage high-end clients while ensuring excellence in customer experience. Play a key role in driving sales and marketing efforts to build and grow the guest business. Work with the ranch’s broader marketing strategy at farmers’ markets, skijor races, community events, and other brand-aligned opportunities. Without sales of our offerings, there is no business!

Operations & Activities: Oversee a wide range of seasonal guest activities, including:

Winter (Dec-April): Snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ranch tours

Spring-Summer (May-Oct): Trail rides, overnight horseback trips, “cowboy experience” rides, etc

Fall: Hunting and outfitting operations + trail rides

Stock & Equipment Management: Work closely with the livestock manager to ensure proper care, training, and management of the horse herd. Maintain and oversee equipment, vehicles, and gear, implementing strong systems and processes for safe and efficient operations.

Collaboration with Ranch Operations: While focused on guest services, the Guest Manager is expected to pitch in where needed across the ranch. A plus for candidates excited to help promote our direct beef and cattle business alongside guest operations. Moreover, our marketing strategy as a ranch is holistic in that we promote everything we do across our work. The farmers markets are a great example of where we come together as a team to promote what we do across the ranch from guest experiences, beef sales, and cattle ranching in the community.

Ideal Candidate:

-Experienced in guest services, hospitality, and/or outfitting operations

-Strong leadership and organizational skills with a passion for team development. Must have experience running a team of people.

-Comfortable managing high-end client experiences and driving sales

-Utilize Google Calendar and other tools to maintain clear communication and organization

-We are a growing business. The best fit is someone who looks forward to he challenge of growing a business and is excited about the many opportunities that are available to us at the ranch.
