Description:
Looking for a position at a horse farm. I have about 16 years of experience with horses. I have been a stable hand, assistant manager, assistant trainer, trail guide, farm sitter, and have assisted with lessons. I have been around horses of all ages, and various breeds. I have some experience with equipment (tractor, spreader, skidsteers).



I prefer western (reining), but also have some experience in English; some dressage and jumping. I can work a horse under saddle, as well as from the ground. I have worked for Al Dube Quarter Horses in ME, as well as for Martina Morell when she was at Cazabu Farms in NY, and Slemp Performance Horses in Eugene MO.



Outside of the horse world, I have also worked for a dairy farm, a dog kennel, as well as for a large animal veterinary practice in the office. I am currently working for a meat processing plant, but would like to get back to working with horses.



Ideally I would like to find a place that I can work horses, as well as the usual care. I would like to find an operation that I can stick with for quite awhile; Find a good group of people that I can build a strong rapport with. I’m a no BS/drama person and have a very strong work ethic. I would like to stay within an hour of Stover MO as I have my family and several animals of our own.
