Description:
60,000 acre ranch, NW Wyoming, 30 miles from town of Thermopolis. 850 cow calf & 150 replacement yearling heifers. Some feeding with purchased hay. No farming or irrigation. Livestock movement by horseback. Branding with hydraulic table. Fencing with side by side, 4 wheeler and some horseback. General duties include:

Fencing (38 separate pastures)

Corral maintenance/repair (continuous fence)

200,000+ feet of water pipelines

Equipment maintenance/minor repairs

Weed spraying; white top & thistles

Oversee pasture & rangeland management, incl. pasture AUM’s

Help with caretaking of ranch horses (replace a shoe, pull shoes for winter)

Salers & Angus genetics

Doctoring and herd health records/maintenance

Housing and utilities provided; 3 BR, 2BA house with yard to be watered/mowed

Meat

Bonus at end of year

No inside pets

No cell service on majority of ranch

No drugs/alcohol on job

Salary BOE
