Description:
We are in the Powderhorn Valley, SW of Gunnison, CO. Rugged outdoor work opportunity. Cattle Ranch, Hunting Outfitter on Public land and Summer Hospitality. We are strong on good work ethics, family oriented and a have a heart for mentoring.



Looking to fill these positions.



1. Summer Wrangler/ Trail Guide;

We do private party trail rides from 1 to 10 +/- riders. Our summer trail rides consist of mainly two hour tail rides with the occasional longer day ride. After trail ride work includes barn/grounds upkeep, tack repair & upkeep, and horse grooming. June - August. Pay DOE; housing + food package option. Experience with horses a must. Tips are shared among the wranglers. Not a high paying job, but you get to ride in the Colorado mountains most days!



2. Summer/Fall Hunting Intern:

- The work is hard, the days are long and you’ll spend much of your time horse back and without cell service. August - November(3rd rifle season). Trail clearing, scouting for upcoming seasons, setting up hunting camps, wrangling/packing. Great opportunity to enter the guiding/outfitting industry. Possible job combo of #3 Summer Ranch Hand for the right person.



3. Summer Ranch Hand

This is a great opportunity for an intern type seasonal work experience. We have summer grazing permits on public land & private ranch & leased land. Job description would be irrigation, fencing, packing salt/mineral, checking cows on permit, farrier work, etc.. Housing + Food package optional. Possible job combo of #2 Summer/Fall Hunting Intern for the right person.
