I’d like to introduce you to John Henry, my favorite mule of all time! He is a well-built 14.2H “Little Engine That Could.” John is 12 years old and is a gelding mule. John has done it all, from penning cattle in a huge stockyard in Missouri to working at a local feedlot. If you can build a loop big enough to go around it, John Henry will hold it! It doesn’t matter how sticky the situation gets; John will never leave you and is always focused on business. We have pasture roped several off of him, tipped their horns, and castrated some bulls.



John will hold the rope tight and will turn even the biggest ones. He is a well-traveled Mule ridden in several states at riding camps. John has been in some high country that is very rough and rocky. He will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. His favorite thing is to ease down the trails and enjoy the scenery! John has been ridden by all ages, he is safe and broke. We have even ridden him bareback. John has a smooth jog and one of the smoothest lopes you will set on! He reins around; I’ve also opened/shut gates off of him. John has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. John has zero vices with his ears and feet. He is easy to handle on them all. If you want to feel and look like a real-deal cowboy/cowgirl, climb on John, and he will make you look like one! Please call if you have any questions.
