PR ESPECIAL CAT — "Bishop" has all the qualities a person could want in a head horse. He spent his first years under saddle as a using horse, ranching in Alabama and Wyoming prowling big pastures, navigating tough terrain to tend to cattle. Stout from the start, Bishop was a favorite of cowboys for his speed, cow sense, work ethic and demeanor. Since we’ve had Bishop, we’ve found all those same traits to be true — he is one of the most likeable horses that we have had in the barn in many years. No matter who is on his back — kids or professionals — Bishop is calm, willing and always well-mannered. A naturally chill horse, he rides around on a loose rein, has a pretty way of traveling and comes with all the maneuvers a well-trained horse should have. Whenever we need Bishop on the ranch, he proves himself as a real asset in getting any job done. His ranching experience shows up if you need to rope and tie one down; you can step off and he’ll work the rope and stand quiet with no one on his back. He likes to watch a cow, knows how to move his feet and makes sorting and working the gate efficient and fun. A few local cowboys have borrowed Bishop for ranch rodeos and to use outside. They always bring him back complimenting the easy-going temperament and can-do attitude that make him useful and enjoyable. As a head horse, we can find no faults with Bishop. He is always rock-solid in the box, has ample speed in the field and is so stout that handling all steers just is easy for him. Run as many as you want, Bishop will take it all day long. He gets along with all horses, is an easy horse to travel with, and never causes any drama. Bishop is a true gentleman’s horse; he’ll fit any level of roper and is one you can always count on.
