This book is book has 240 pages of good information for all old west vintage cowboy collectors of silver horse bits and early Vaquero spurs. The premier book of California’s cowboy culture has lots of photos of California Bits and Spurs. This is a wonderful book by Lou Kosloff and a great source to learn more about Western history. This BEAUTIFUL first edition hardcover is a must have book for all bit and spur collectors & cowboy collectible enthusiasts alike. Complete with illustrations that vividly show and explain many many wonderful examples of these handmade working cowboy tools.

Appreciators of rare Americana will value the limited aspects of this piece, as well as its numbered designation. NUMBER 253 of 1000 copies plus it’s signed by the author and published by J Ralph Bell in 198. This original work is not just a book, but a slice of Californian heritage. It has only been out of its original binder just a time or two and it comes with a simulated leather hardcover that gives it a rich old fashioned look into the past.

I don’t know how this book could look anymore new...it’s pristine! NO rips, tears or binding issues! The pages are gold gilt edges and the hard cover is that of a simulates leather with gold font which gives it a rich western look.
