Description:
Xcel Feedyard in Watonga, Oklahoma is looking for experienced cowboys to fill a couple of currently open positions.



Requirements:

Ability to spot and pull sick cattle from pens and take to hospital

Ability to safety and effectively perform tasks horseback in a Feedyard and in pastures

Ability to spend long hours in the saddle 5-7 days per week

Ability to take cattle correctly to home pens nightly

Ability to sort, load, and unload cattle horseback and on foot

Must be able to work with a team and individually

Must be punctual and respectful of all fellow employees

Must have a minimum of 2 gentle, broke horses that job can be performed on safely and effectively

Must have own saddle and tack to use daily

Must be able to work in all weather conditions, cold, snow, heat, rain, wind, etc



This is a 27,000 head, privately owned Feedyard. About 80-90% of your time will be spent horseback. The rest of the time will be spent helping doctoring or processing. We need team players that are not afraid the jump in and help!



Compensation:

Hourly pay consisting of 50-80 hrs per week

Rotating weekends off

Feed, hay, shoeing, care for up to 3 personal horses

Employee insurance after 60 days with good discounts for family insurance

Paid vacation after one year employment

Retirement program after one year employment
