Introducing SR SMART MATE GOLD aka “Clifford” is a really good looking red dun gelding. Clifford is registered 6 years old and stands 14.3 hands tall with a nice stocky build to him. He is built to last and capable of carrying any size rider. If you’re looking for a horse that’s gentle and safe and also well broke he’s your guy! Clifford is super quiet and super gentle to ride. He would be great for a beginner rider or a timid rider. It doesn’t matter if it’s 35° or 100° he’s the same easy going ride everyday. He would excel as a Ranch horse, trail horse, kids horse, husband horse. Clifford has a very solid foundation and is always safe! Clifford will have a nice one hand neck rein on him, will walk, jog, and lope easy steady circles in the arena. Picks up both leads and only goes the desired speed of his rider. Clifford will stand still to mount and dismount, even side pass to open and shut gates. Clifford has been used for cattle sortings, brandings, and has even been roped off of. He is a great trail horse as well he has been on many miles of trail and all kinds of terrain. Clifford will cross water, brush and logs with ease. He has been rode on the road and is used to all kinds of traffic and all of our heavy machinery here on the farm. He will ride out alone or in a big group, you can just throw the reins away and just point and go enjoy a nice relaxing ride on him. On the ground Clifford is total gentleman, he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He has great ground manners, stands tied very nicely, picks up all four feet, is great for the farrier, vet, to bath and tack up. He is also easy to catch and handle. He loads in the trailer perfectly and hauls quietly. Clifford gets along great with other horses and is in the middle to lower on the pecking order. He is used to a stall and turn out on pasture and will do well on either. He does great with time off and will ride off the same every time. Clifford is suitable for any type of rider and is SAFE. Clifford is selling with a current negative coggins, rabies vaccine, recent dental work and shod on all four feet. Clifford has GREAT BLOOD LINES and goes back to the FAMOUS HIGH BROW CAT AND SMART MATE .
