Description:
Scarmardo Ranches located in Caldwell, Texas has an opening for a Ranch Maintenance & Range Management Position at our Cameron, Texas Ranch locations.



This position is for someone who is skilled in mechanic/maintenance to serve as support to our ranching needs including but not limited to operating machinery, maintain & repair of property, equipment, fences & facilities.



This position will report to the Ranch Manager.



Responsibilities:



- Meeting with the Ranch Manager on a routine basis for job/project planning.



- Keeping up with routine maintenance on equipment including vehicles, trailers, tractors and other heavy machinery.



- Operate heavy machinery



- Performance of routine ranch maintenance such as welding, plumbing, electrical & mending fences.



- Preform routine vehicle/equipment maintenance to include oil changes, battery checks, lubricating all equipment parts.



- Capability to identify & diagnose malfunctions on all equipment.



- Repair and if needed replace minor malfunctioning components, parts & other mechanical/electrical equipment.



- Maintain Maintenance records for all ranch vehicles and equipment.



- Read and interpret operating manuals, drawings, & test results by using dials, gauges, and other equipment.



- Must be able to work independently and have exceptional time management skills.



- Communicate effectively as well as make independent judgements.



- Be adaptable to a irregular work schedule, to possibly include evenings, weekends & holidays.



Qualifications:



- Must have a valid driver’s license

- Pass background check & drug test
