Description:
Amigo’s name suits him well as this guy wants to be your bestie. Amigo is a 15.1h Andalusian cross gelding. He is a floppy eared, plod along, gentle fella. On trails this gelding is a mountain goat. If you’re looking for another solid trail/arena/put around horse that is ranchy enough to go all day this guy is for you.



Amigo does not fall under the complete dead head category. He has life to him and pep in his step when asked. He walks out great on the trail and is a sure-footed mountain goat type on the trails. That being said his favorite gaits are a walk and trot. He has a super smooth jog trot and a beautiful, fun lope that is smooth to ride. He has a decent handle on him and works the bridle well. Amigo is fun in the arena. He is the kind your teenager could just go have fun on. He pops into both leads easily. Amigo hard stops, backs, side passes, yields leg cues and has a slow spin and will sit there quietly. I’ve trotted the pattern with him a few times and the boy is cute! It wouldn’t take much to make him a playday pony.



On trails Amigo truly is the point and go type. He will go up and over anything, through washes and bushes, and has no problem walking out alone. ATVs, Gators, And dirt bikes don’t seem to bother him. He just is thrilled to be out seeing the sights.



I have seen handy kids crawl on Amigo’s back and put around. I wouldn’t call him a brand new beginners horse as he still looks for his cues. Amigo is incredibly gentle and a has a kind heart. He loves having connections with people and getting told he is the best boy. Happy to answer any questions and vet checks welcome at buyers expense.
