married couple seeking long term employment in MT, CO, ID, SD or WY currently calving in Montana, available to start in late may or later



We are a pair of hard working outfitting professionals with a background in ranching who have been working together for six years. We don’t have any children, but we do have horses and dogs that would need to come with us. We are always striving to learn, grow, and improve our skills. We are hoping to put down roots and build a sense of community. Handling stock with low stress management practices and compassion is important to us.



Combined, we have over twenty years packing/outfitting experience with both Deckers and Sawbucks, offering progressive/roving trips and big game hunts. We both also have experience in cattle ranching, particularly calving, foaling, doctoring, driving a team or tractor to feed, and open range herd management. Farming and hay production is an area where we could improve our knowledge, but we do have a lot of practical experience with machinery, vehicle maintenance, basic carpentry and construction.



We are looking for two positions on the same operation. We have worked seasonally for outfitters in the summer-fall and calving/ranching in the winter-spring for many years, and an outfit that does both would be ideal. A year round ranching job or a year round outfitting situation would also be of great interest to us. Mostly, we are looking for an opportunity that is a good fit for us where we can work hard, grow our skills, and enjoy our work.
