Ranch Jobs: Wanted - Animal Caretaker - Texas #193483 [ask seller a question] [report to admin] Posted by: kqwarner [see other ads by this poster] City: Lipan [see other ads in this city] State: Texas [see other ads in this state] Job Title: Animal Caretaker Salary: $34,000.00 Room & Board: See description Phone #: 817-832-4458 Description: RANCH HAND / CARETAKER POSITION THE RANCH: - The Ranch – 300+ Acres – North Texas - West of Weatherford, TX - Private facility – no outside horses – no outside training, only Owners’ horses - Owners do their own training & use outside trainers for young horses - Working Horses – including Stallions – Cutters / Reiners / Pleasure - Cattle / Dogs / Cats JOB BENEFITS & STRUCTURE: - Full time live-on Ranch Position o Includes Housing / Utilities / Satellite / Internet / Washer-Dryer - Average 5-days on / 2-days off + reasonable holiday schedule - One person only – no family - Homebody – not a traveling position (other than local) - Salary is paid 2X each month, and depends upon experience and increases with experience - Having a pet depends upon the animal and other requirements - Normal taxes paid & withheld / workers compensation insurance is provided JOB SCOPE/DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS: - Driving to Feed Stores / Vets / Ranch needs – using Ranch Trucks & on Ranch Insurance o Drive stick-shift trucks on-Ranch used for feeding o Must be able to & experienced in driving a truck & hookup and drive a Gooseneck trailer o Must be able to & experienced in loading & driving Animals to Vets - Must have live-in care taking Ranch experience with horses / cattle / dogs / cats o need to be comfortable around all types of horses, including Stallions & other animals o must be able to halter and move horses o must be able to assist in exercising / working horses  Halter breaking and/or riding experience would be a plus (not required)  Ability to learn from the owners and increase experience with horses o must be able to groom horses including washing - You will be handling: o Daily Feeding of horses / cattle / dogs / cats o Daily Stall & pen cleaning / maintenance for all animals o Moving horses & cattle in various pens o Ordering feed and other Ranch services - Must be able to recognize health issues with all animals - Must be able to drive tractors and hookup & unhook implements - Must be comfortable being alone on the Ranch while Owners are gone o Owners travel frequently, and you will be the only person on the Ranch - Must be focused on caring for all animals and addressing health/safety issues - Possible supervision of other Ranch hands depending upon experience If you believe you qualify for this position please E-mail your resume to: info@finalcutranch.com NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE [the foregoing is a summary of general information and will be supplemented just before hiring. 2/15/25] Posted 02-11-25 4549 visitors have viewed this ad
