Job Title: Cattle Hauler- MUST HAVE CLASS A CDL- with 2 plus years Hauling Cattle.

Base Salary plus Additional Pay: $0.49 after 300 cents per mile plus 28% of load (Details in Interview)

• Monitor the health and well-being of the cattle during transport, including maintaining proper ventilation and temperature.

• Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the truck and trailer are in good working order.

• Keep accurate records of mileage, maintenance, and transportation logs.

• Communicate with farmers, feedlots, and other stakeholders regarding delivery schedules.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck and trailer after each haul.

• Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding livestock transport, including weight limits, route planning, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

• Experience in hauling livestock, particularly cattle.

• Knowledge of cattle handling practices and animal welfare standards.

• Ability to work long hours and travel long distances, often requiring overnight stays.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to physically load, secure, and transport livestock.

• Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.

• Ability to communicate effectively with farmers, customers, and dispatchers.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Prolonged periods of sitting and driving.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience working on a farm or ranch.

• Experience with specialized livestock trailers.

Work Environment:

• Primarily on the road with varying schedules.

• Exposure to outdoor elements, including heat, cold, and dust.

• Interaction with livestock and agricultural environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
